The sea is a human magnet, captivating all the human senses and drawing attention away from everything else.
The eyes can never get enough of the glorious sunsets and rises, the ears crave the crashing of the waves and the skin needs to feel the warm waters.
And yet some beauties manage to distract for a while, like this driftwood that imposes along the shoreline, managing its share of attention.
Taken on Patnem beach, South Goa, India.
Stupa remains, around Anuradhapura, Srilanka.
What remains.
Brick walls and foundations are sometimes all that can be seen in the remains of the once glorious stupas that boasted of fine craftsmanship and extensive detailing .
Although restoration work is on in full swing - some structures around the historical cultural triangle region of Srilanka are dilapidated beyond accurate restoration.
Imagination, it appears, is the only way to picture the magnificent architecture from the past.
Images from every place gorgeous :) .. for you to carry around !!

Don’t you just love the feeling of being transported to another world from another time when you vacation around ‘preserved’ surroundings??
This picture is from my trip to Madikeri/Coorg in Karnataka, India.
While motor operated boats are used to transfer people across the river Cauvery, Coracles are also used widely - turn this image into Black and White and it could be an image from a long while ago :) (minus the t-shirts :) ).
You can read about my trip to Coorg/Madikeri here and see some pictures here.
Artists crave center stage and rightfully so - some are lucky to find fame, celebration and wealth along with, while others entertain with anonymity.
This is a picture of a beautiful dancer at the Ramoji Film City, she moved with bored grace - her repeat performance for the 6th batch of the days tour group’s.
To me artists come only two ways talented or otherwise -and this lady makes me wish that she gets her deserved share of stardom, fame and riches. Not just her though .. all talented artists everywhere.
Godspeed.
Nothing says cheer up more :) …
Outside the Batu Caves, during Thaipusam - Kuala Lumpur
A warning read : Careful, wild elephants crossing.
:) and we turned to look around, and there they were!! Magnificent, beautiful and carefree in their natural habitat.
We could not go any closer, but just the thrill of watching these magestic elephants towering about even from a distance was pure joy :).
There was also a peacock luring around and playing hide in the lush green grass.
Location: On the way back from Anuradhapura, Srilanka.

Gua Tempurung, Malaysia.
Hampi, India.
Stone carvings new and old are abundant in Hampi - sometimes strewn around the pathways and ruins.
The above picture is of a carving from recent times, a Lingam and Nandi carved out of granite and marble, set on the steps along the ghats of Tungabhadra.
